Workflows — Board View and List View

What Is a Workflow?

A workflow in PeerBie is the set of stages a task moves through from creation to completion. Each project has its own workflow with customizable stages. You visualize and manage tasks through Board view (Kanban) or List view (table).

Board View (Kanban)

Board view shows each workflow stage as a column. Tasks appear as cards you can drag between columns.

  • Add a task: Click the + button at the bottom of any column, or click a task card to open its detail view.
  • Move a task: Drag the card to a different column, or open the task and change its Status field.
  • Filter: Use the filter bar to show only tasks assigned to a specific person, with a specific priority, or due in a date range.
  • Group by: Group cards by assignee, priority, or due date instead of status.

List View

List view shows all tasks as rows in a table. It’s better for:

  • Bulk editing (select multiple tasks and change assignee, due date, or priority at once)
  • Seeing all fields at a glance (due date, priority, assignee all visible without opening a card)
  • Sorting by any column

Customizing Workflow Stages

Each project’s workflow stages are fully customizable:

  1. Open the project → click Manage Stages (or the gear icon on any column).
  2. Add, rename, reorder, or delete stages.
  3. Set a stage as Done — tasks moved there are marked complete.

Task Detail View

Click any task card to open its full detail panel on the right:

  • Edit the title, description, assignees, due date, priority
  • Add sub-tasks
  • Attach files and images
  • Leave comments for teammates
  • View the full activity log

Workflow Automation

You can set rules that trigger automatic actions when tasks meet certain conditions — for example, “when a task moves to Review, notify the project manager” or “when a task is overdue, increase its priority to High.” See the Workflow Automation guide for details.
