Team Features — Teams, Groups, and Direct Messages
How PeerBie Organizes People
PeerBie has three levels of people organization: the Workspace (everyone in your company), Teams (departments or functional groups), and Projects (people working on a specific initiative).
Teams
Teams are persistent groups like “Engineering”, “Marketing”, or “Customer Success.” Members of a team share a private team feed, can be assigned to projects together, and can be mentioned as a group with @Team.
Creating a team: Go to Teams in the left sidebar → + Create Team → add a name and invite members.

Direct Messages
Send a private message to any workspace member:
- Click the Messages icon in the left sidebar.
- Click + New Message.
- Search for the person’s name.
- Type and send.
You can also start a direct message from someone’s profile page.
Group Messages
Create a group conversation with multiple people:
- Click + New Message.
- Add multiple people from the search.
- Give the group a name (optional).
- Send your first message.
Threads and Replies
In any feed or message, click Reply on a specific message to start a thread. Threads keep discussions organized without cluttering the main conversation.
@Mentions
Type @name anywhere in PeerBie — posts, task comments, messages — to notify that person directly. Type @team to notify an entire team. The mentioned person receives a notification in their Lucy notifications panel.
Asking Lucy to Send Messages
You can ask Lucy to send a direct message on your behalf: “Send a message to Alex: the design files are ready for review.” Lucy will send it immediately.
