Lucy by PeerBie — Terms of Use

These Terms govern your use of Lucy by PeerBie (“Lucy”), a personal AI assistant app provided by PeerBie Inc. (5214F Diamond Heights Blvd #3649, San Francisco, CA 94131, United States). By creating an account you accept them.
1. The service
Lucy transcribes recordings you make or import, summarises them, keeps your tasks and reminders, sends you briefs and answers your questions using AI. AI output can be wrong or incomplete; review it before relying on it, especially for medical, legal or financial matters. Lucy is not a substitute for professional advice.
2. Your account
You must be 18 or older. Keep your credentials confidential; you are responsible for activity under your account. You may delete your account at any time in the app.
3. Your content and recordings
You own what you record and create. You grant PeerBie a licence to process it only to provide the service. You are responsible for recording lawfully: obtain consent from other participants where the law or the situation requires it, and do not record where recording is prohibited. Do not upload content you have no right to use.
4. Acceptable use
Do not use Lucy to break the law, harass others, generate harmful content, reverse-engineer the service, or overload it. We may suspend accounts that do.
5. Objectionable content and abusive users
There is no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users. You may not post, send or share content that is offensive, harassing, hateful, sexually explicit, violent, illegal or otherwise objectionable, and you may not abuse other users. You can report any post, comment, message or user from within the app, and you can block users. We review reports within 24 hours and will remove offending content and suspend or remove users who violate these Terms.
6. Free plan and Lucy Pro subscriptions
The free plan includes limited chat messages per day and limited transcription minutes per month, as shown in the app. Lucy Pro is an auto-renewing subscription sold through the Apple App Store or Google Play. Prices are displayed before purchase (for example USD 9.99 per month or USD 79.99 per year; local prices apply, a student plan is available). Payment is charged to your store account at confirmation. The subscription renews automatically for the same period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You manage or cancel it in your App Store or Google Play account settings; deleting the app does not cancel it. Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their policies. Promotional months (for example from referrals) do not renew and have no cash value. Allowances may change with notice.
7. Using Lucy with a team
If you invite others, your workspace becomes a PeerBie team workspace governed additionally by the PeerBie platform terms. Team plans are managed on the PeerBie website.
8. Intellectual property
Lucy, its software, design and trademarks belong to PeerBie Inc. You receive a personal, non-transferable licence to use the app.
9. Disclaimer and liability
The service is provided “as is”. To the extent permitted by law, PeerBie is not liable for indirect or consequential damages, and its total liability is limited to the amount you paid for Lucy in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
10. Termination
You may stop using Lucy at any time. We may end or suspend the service for breach of these Terms or if we discontinue Lucy, with reasonable notice where possible.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence.
