Creating and Managing Projects in PeerBie
What Is a Project?
In PeerBie, a project is a container for related work. It holds tasks organized into sections (columns on a board), team members, files, and discussion. Use projects for anything with a clear scope: a product launch, a marketing campaign, a quarterly goal, a client engagement.
Creating a Project
- Click Projects in the left sidebar.
- Click + New Project.
- Enter a name and optional description.
- Option A — Manual: Click Create and build your sections and tasks from scratch.
- Option B — AI Generated: Type a one-line brief (e.g. “Launch a new mobile app feature in Q4”) and click Generate with AI. Lucy creates a full project structure with sections, tasks, and suggested assignees in seconds.

Project Structure
Every project has:
- Sections — columns on the board (e.g. To Do, In Progress, Review, Done). You can rename, add, and reorder sections.
- Tasks — cards within sections. Drag between sections to update status.
- Members — people who have access to the project.
- Files — documents and attachments shared across the project.
Board View vs List View
Switch between views using the icons at the top of the project:
- Board view — Kanban-style columns. Best for visualizing task flow and spotting bottlenecks.
- List view — Table format with sortable columns. Best for detailed planning and bulk editing.

Adding Project Members
Click Members at the top of the project, then Add Member. Choose from your workspace members. Only project members can see and work on tasks in that project by default.
Project Settings
Click the gear icon to:
- Archive or delete the project
- Change the project color and icon
- Set the project as private (only invited members) or open (all workspace members)
- Configure workflow automation rules
Tip: Ask Lucy “Give me a status update on [project name]” for an instant AI-generated summary of progress, blockers, and recent activity — no status meeting required.
