Lucy Notifications — Smart Alerts That Actually Matter
How Lucy Handles Notifications
Regular notification systems just forward every event to you as a raw alert. Lucy’s notification system is different — she reads each incoming event, understands its context, and enriches it before it reaches you. The result is notifications that tell you what to do, not just what happened.
What an Enriched Notification Looks Like
Instead of: “John commented on Task #47”
Lucy shows: “John flagged a blocker on the API integration task — he’s waiting for the database credentials. Suggested reply: ‘I’ll get those to you by EOD.'”

Types of Notifications Lucy Handles
- Task assignments — when a task is assigned to you or someone you manage
- Comments and mentions — when someone @mentions you or comments on your task
- Due date reminders — proactive alerts before a task goes overdue
- Meeting reminders — 15 minutes before a scheduled meeting
- Post activity — reactions and replies to your team feed posts
- Project updates — milestones reached, status changes
Notification Priority
Lucy rates each notification by importance (1–5) and surfaces the most urgent ones at the top. Low-priority notifications are grouped so they don’t clutter your view.
Responding to Notifications
Many notifications include a Suggested Reply from Lucy. Click it to use it as a starting point, or type your own response directly from the notification panel without opening the full task or post.
Managing Notification Settings
Go to your profile → Notification Settings to control which types of notifications you receive. You can also set Quiet Hours — a time window where non-urgent notifications are held until the next morning.
Note: Lucy never sends you a notification about your own actions. If you comment on a task, you won’t get a notification about your own comment.
