Microsoft 365

PeerBie and Lucy, at home in Microsoft 365.

Lucy reads and answers your Outlook mail with your OK, books Teams meetings and takes the notes, and finds what you need in OneDrive. AI employees work in SharePoint, Word and Excel. Your Microsoft 365 admin can approve PeerBie once for the whole company.

What works today

Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint, Word and Excel.

Lucy works with each person’s own Microsoft account. AI employees use the Microsoft 365 tools a workspace admin connects for them.

Lucy

Outlook mail

Lucy reads your inbox when you ask, sums up long threads, drafts replies and turns requests into tasks. She sends only after you approve.

Lucy

Outlook calendar

Lucy reads your calendar for your morning brief, finds a free slot and adds events for you.

PeerBie + Lucy

Teams meetings

Create a Teams meeting from a PeerBie post, or ask Lucy to set one up. It goes on your own Outlook calendar with a Teams link.

Lucy

Notes from Teams calls

Lucy’s note-taker joins the Teams calls on your calendar as a participant, then files the summary, decisions and action items as tasks with owners.

Lucy

OneDrive files

Ask about a file and Lucy finds it in your OneDrive, reads it and answers. Only when you ask: she does not scan your drive in the background.

Lucy

Word documents

Lucy writes Word (.docx) or PDF documents from your projects, goals and notes, and attaches them to a task or saves them to your workspace’s OneDrive.

AI employees

SharePoint

AI employees search your SharePoint sites, read documents in them, and file new documents in the right library.

AI employees

Word and Excel files

AI employees create Word documents and Excel workbooks in OneDrive or SharePoint, and add or update rows in an existing sheet.

AI employees

Teams channels and Outlook

AI employees post updates to a Teams channel and send email from a connected Outlook mailbox, with a footer that names the AI employee.

Meetings

Book the Teams call. Lucy brings back the tasks.

Schedule from PeerBie or just ask Lucy. After the call, the notes land in PeerBie with action items ready to become tasks, so nothing said in the meeting gets lost.

  • Your calendar, your meeting. The Teams meeting is created on your own Outlook calendar.
  • Notes without typing. Turn on the note-taker and it joins your Teams, Zoom and Google Meet calls.
  • Action items become tasks with owners and due dates, in the right project.

Who connects what

Each person connects their own account.

Lucy only ever uses the signed-in person’s own Microsoft connection. AI employees use tools a workspace admin connects for them, one tool at a time.

Each person, for Lucy

Connect Microsoft 365 and tick what Lucy may use: mail, calendar, Teams meetings and, if you want, files. Untick something and Lucy stops using it. Disconnect and what she derived from your mail and files is deleted.

A workspace admin, for AI employees

An admin connects Outlook, OneDrive, SharePoint or Teams for the workspace’s AI employees. Each tool asks Microsoft only for its own permissions, and every email an AI employee sends names it in a footer.

For IT admins

Approving PeerBie in your Microsoft 365 tenant.

Many companies only let admins approve new apps. If that is you, your Microsoft 365 admin may need to approve PeerBie once. Here is what that involves.

1
Check the publisher

Microsoft’s consent screen shows PeerBie Inc as a verified publisher (Partner ID 6849111). The app works with work or school accounts and with personal Microsoft accounts.

2
Approve for the company

A workspace admin who is also allowed to grant consent in Microsoft Entra opens Connected accounts → For workspace admins → Approve for my company in PeerBie on the web, and approves the list Microsoft shows.

3
People connect their own accounts

The approval does not connect anyone’s mailbox. Each person still signs in to link their own account, and PeerBie never reads a mailbox without that person signing in.

4
AI employee tools, when you need them

Write permissions for SharePoint, OneDrive, Outlook and Teams are never part of the company approval. An admin grants them separately, one tool at a time.

FAQ

Microsoft 365 questions.

Does PeerBie work with both work and personal Microsoft accounts?

Yes. You can connect a work or school account or a personal Microsoft account. Teams meetings use Teams for work where your account has it, and Teams for personal use otherwise.

Does our Microsoft 365 admin need to approve PeerBie?

It depends on your company’s settings. If people may approve apps themselves, they just sign in. If only admins may, a workspace admin who can grant consent in Microsoft Entra approves PeerBie once from Connected accounts in PeerBie, and then each person links their own account.

Which Microsoft permissions does PeerBie ask for?

Delegated permissions only. The company approval covers sign-in, Mail.Read, Mail.Send, Calendars.ReadWrite and OnlineMeetings.ReadWrite. Files.Read is asked when a person turns on Files. Write permissions for AI employees are granted separately by an admin, one tool at a time.

Does Lucy send email without asking?

No. Lucy drafts the reply and waits for you to approve it before anything is sent. AI employees also wait for a person’s OK, and the emails they send name the AI employee in a footer.

Can Lucy read SharePoint?

Lucy reads files in your own OneDrive when you ask about them. SharePoint sites are used by AI employees once a workspace admin connects SharePoint for them.

Does the note-taker work in Microsoft Teams?

Yes. Turn it on and Lucy’s note-taker joins the Teams, Zoom and Google Meet calls on your calendar, then files the notes and action items in PeerBie.

What doesn’t work with Microsoft 365 yet?

Three things, so you know before you buy. Goal check-ins in Teams: weekly key-result check-ins run in Slack and in PeerBie itself today, and Lucy records a check-in when you tell her in chat. Outlook emails starting a workflow: email rules that start workflows work with Gmail today; workflows can also start from a webhook, a schedule, a PeerBie event, or from Claude through the PeerBie connector. Lucy reading Teams chats: PeerBie posts to Teams channels today, but it does not read Teams chats or channel messages.
